Your food diary
Each person has a separate diary. Switching people does not copy meals. These diaries are not password-protected; people using this browser can access them.

Daily calorie log
This log stays in this browser. Add what you actually eat: logging a recipe and its ingredients separately counts both. Targets are optional in History. Removing browser data clears the log.
Recent foods & repeat meals
Leave component editing off to scale the whole entry. Turn it on to adjust individual ingredient grams; zero omits an ingredient. This creates a new logged version and keeps the original receipt.
Foods & personal measures
Choose a preparation state before weighing. Product labels and personal measures are saved locally.
Use your own kitchen scale. Tare between ingredients and enter each edible weight; this site is not connected to the scale.

Food references & calculation assumptions
Estimated calories
Estimates use edible input weights and assume all listed ingredients are eaten. Brands, portion sizes and cooking losses vary. Substitutions are not included. Recipe totals are divided by the listed servings; rounded ingredient values may not sum exactly.
Sources and portion assumptions
USDA Standard Reference Release 28 (2015), nutrients 208 (energy), 203 (protein), 205 (carbohydrate by difference) and 204 (total fat), per 100 g. Energy uses the source value and may differ from a simple 4/4/9 macro calculation. Paneer uses an Amul Fresh Paneer product-label reference. Generic examples are used: dry white rice and pasta, cooked drained beans, raw skinless chicken, canned tuna in water, firm tofu, whole-milk yogurt, whole-wheat bread, heavy cream and canned full-fat coconut milk.
Estimated edible portions: medium tomato 123 g; small onion 70 g (half an unspecified onion 55 g); garlic clove 3 g; carrot 61 g; bell pepper 119 g; cucumber 300 g; avocado 150 g; banana 118 g; egg 50 g; bread slice 28 g; small corn tortilla 24 g. Juice only: lemon 48 g, lime 30 g. Oil tablespoon 13.5 g; peanut butter tablespoon 16 g; soy sauce tablespoon 16 g; basil 10 leaves 5 g; ginger 2 cm 10 g. Cream 100 ml = 99 g; coconut milk 200 ml = 200 g. Spice teaspoon weights: cumin 2.1 g, paprika 2.3 g, turmeric 3 g, curry 2 g, black pepper 2.3 g; salt 6 g. Weights describe ingredients before cooking; rice and lentils use dry weights even when the instructions cook them first.

Why do two nutrition numbers differ?
Compare the same edible gram amount and raw/cooked state first. Brands, food-specific energy factors, household sizes and rounding can differ. The source's energy is kept rather than forced to equal 4 × protein + 4 × carbohydrate + 9 × fat.
Recipe workbench
Changes here are a planning sandbox. Nothing is eaten until you explicitly log it.
Build a reusable plate from saved recipes
This combines saved-recipe nutrition. Component grams represent input-weight equivalents, not measured cooked weights. Weigh the final plate or batch to log cooked grams.
Build your own recipe · calories & macros
Search 8,789 USDA foods plus the site's pantry ingredients. Choose the correct raw, dry or cooked form. Enter edible grams for each ingredient, then set your recipe's servings. Values are estimates; database foods are not screened by the finder's dietary filters.
Can't find an ingredient? Enter its nutrition label
Enter values per 100 g of edible food. These user-provided values are stored with logged meals; they do not change the USDA catalogue.
Ingredients remain in the calculator after logging so you can adjust the recipe. Logging again adds another meal. Use Save recipe to keep your recipe in My kitchen. The working draft stays on this device when storage is available; logged food entries are saved below.
Contributors, uncertainty & components
Largest calorie contributors are useful places to check weights, not “bad” ingredients. Food-match accuracy and portion uncertainty cannot be inferred from calorie contribution alone.
Use only when you measured the uneaten amount. Oil absorption is not guessed automatically. Pan liquid containing water or food is not pure oil. Record the adjustment in your recipe notes.

Your leftovers map
Allocate a measured batch into dinner, lunches or freezer portions. Location labels record your plan; they do not establish safe storage times.
Planned, not eaten
Your history, without streaks
Unlogged days are unknown, not zero intake. Averages use only days you mark complete.

Export, backup & delete
History deletion keeps food references, recipes, measures and batches. Undo is available until the next change. Backups include all household diaries on this device.
